Fungus Control
It is frustrating for homeowners to watch their grass suddenly turn brown and die when only a week before it appeared vibrant and robust. While each type of grass is vulnerable to different fungi, under the right circumstances, a variety of funguses can infiltrate almost any type of grass from time to time.
Lawn and turf fungus can affect either the grass itself or the soil in which it grows. There are hundreds of diseases that can attack during growing season. Dead roots rotting under the soil surface, high levels of moisture and improper fertilization techniques all contribute to fungus growth. In yards susceptible to fungus growth, the best intervention is prevention through creating an environment where the grass flourishes and the fungus does not. If the environment shifts and fungus takes hold, the only efficient way to treat fungus is with professionally well-timed treatment that is executed correctly and regularly, otherwise the fungus will return.
